Does your puppy or young dog love wet food? Then you can give Sensible Puppy Lamb & Rice as a complete food. If you prefer mixed feeding, then our canned food for young dogs can be combined perfectly with our Happy Dog Puppy dry food. Happy Dog Sensible Puppy Lamb & Rice is ideal for puppies up to 6 months old or Happy Dog Sensible Junior Lamb & Rice for young dogs from 7 months.
Sensible Puppy & Junior should be followed by Sensible Pure for adult dogs
The Puppy canned food is a complete feed for growing dogs which can be given from 8 weeks old. You should then change over to a suitable adult food once the final weight is reached (at around 18 months, depending on the breed). If you want to continue to give your adult four-legged friend a premium wet food, then our Sensible Pure cans with 100 % animal protein and eleven delicious varieties is ideal.

Please note:The amount of food should be gradually increased until the amount recommended for the next age band is reached. As the dog approaches its final weight, the energy requirement drops off and the amount of food should be adjusted in line with the feeding guide.
General feeding notes:
- Weigh puppies regularly and document weight development.
- It may be necessary to adjust the amount of food for individual pets.
- Do not give too much to eat – make sure your dog grows at a moderate rate.
- If you give snacks, reduce the amount of food accordingly.
- Split the daily food ration between several meals (3-4).
- Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
- Give the food at room temperature.
