For generations, Interquell Petfood has stood for healthy and varied pet food, whilst taking responsibility for people, animals and the environment. We love animals and respect nature. That is why we want to enable every pet to enjoy a long, healthy and happy life. We are committed to producing species-appropriate pet food every single day. Wherever possible, we source raw materials from farm animals regionally and in a species-appropriate manner. We also develop new products using alternative protein sources such as insects. We support active animal and species conservation and focus on innovative projects relating to the protection of domestic, farm and wild animals. We also encourage the presence of dogs in the office. At our site in Wehringen, 21 dogs are already helping to create a pleasant working atmosphere.

Biofilter system
Filtering the air extracted from the production halls
By constructing a biofilter system we are now able to biologically purify the extract air from production. The warm air extracted from the production halls (which smells of dog food) is routed through a bed of wood chips. This cools the air entirely naturally and filters it so that only fresh, clean air comes out at the other end. This avoids unpleasant odours being released into our environment.
