It is ideal for problem-free and gentle feeding of sensitive puppies of all small dog breeds up to 10 kg adult weight. How long should fit & vital Mini Puppy be given?
Happy Dog fit & vital Mini Puppy is ideal from 4 weeks through to 12 months. Small breeds up to 10 kg (weight of the adult dog) grow up faster and at a more even rate than large breeds. So they are fed Happy Dog Mini Puppy products from 1 to 12 months old. When your pet reaches 13 months, you should gradually change over to a suitable Adult food. We recommend Happy Dog fit & vital Mini Adult, for example.

Please note
- The amount of food should be gradually increased every 2-3 days to weekly until the amount recommended for the next age band is reached.
- As the dog approaches its final weight, the energy requirement drops off and the amount of food should be adjusted in line with the feeding guide.
- When the final weight is reached, remember to change over to a suitable Adult food.
General feeding notes
- Weigh puppies regularly and record weight changes.
- The amounts shown are simply for guidance. The amount required will vary according to age, breed, level of activity and whether yours is an indoor or outdoor dog. It may therefore be necessary to adjust the amount of food given to individual pets.
- Do not give too much to eat โ make sure growth is not above average.
- If you give snacks, reduce the amount of food accordingly. Hint: use part of the daily food ration as a snack substitute.
- Give the food dry or add warm water (roughly 60ยฐ C) and leave to soak a few minutes.
- Split the daily food ration between several meals (3 - 4).
- Make sure that fresh drinking water is available at all times.
